The University Grants Commission (UGC), with an intent to align higher education with the emerging needs of the economy so as to ensure that the graduates of higher education system have adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship, has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation Degree granted by a University.

The Objective of the Bachelor of Vocation (B.VOC.) Degree Program is –

To provide a judicious mix of Skills related to a profession and appropriate content of general education
To provide flexibility to the students by the means of pre-determined entry and multiple exit points
To ensure graduating students have adequate knowledge and skills related to a profession
To integrate National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) with in the undergraduate level in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet the industry needs

INLEAD, an endeavor of Primordial, as the NSDC training partner for skill development programs across multiple sectors is associated with UGC-approved Universities as their integral industry partner for imparting skills training under NOSs approved by Sector Skill Councils and facilitating practical OJT/ Apprenticeships through a blended mode with a focus on learning outcomes

Management Skills for learning how to eﬀectively plan, organize and coordinate available resources

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Vocation Program is a New-Age method of education that integrates general education, technical education, and employability skills with practical on-job training to ensure that the graduating student is ready for employment in the Industry. The Program is a three-year undergraduate course designed with multiple entry and exit points where a student can pursue a sectoral program for 1-year/2-years/or 3-years and secure a Diploma/Advanced Diploma/ or a Graduate Degree at the end of each year of completed education

The Program is delivered through a blended-mode of in-class pedagogy; industry workshops; on-line e-learning sessions; and mandatory OJT/ apprenticeship to help students establish themselves in employment and entrepreneurial ventures.
